Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Taco Charlton went under the knife on Thursday. He was merely having a minor labrum repair and should be fine coming into OTAs and minicamp.

Charlton had just finished his second season as a defensive lineman in the NFL. This past season he was only able to start in seven games and finished the season with one sack, a pass deflection, and 27 tackles. He played in 11 total games and filled in mostly as a backup in the rotations for Dallas' front seven.

The Cowboys ended last season with a record of 10-6 and ended up winning the NFC East Division handily. Their offense only averaged 21.2 points per game, which ranked about 22nd in the NFL. Dak Prescott and company didn't have a top offense but were still able to be effective enough to win games.

However, their defense was their strength, only allowing 20.3 points per game. This ranked 6th in the entire league. The team's defense was stifling.

The team was able to get pretty far into the playoffs. They were first able to stop the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The Seahawks refused to rely on their passing game late, afraid of the playmaking ability the Cowboys have in their secondary.

However, they did end up losing in the divisional round to the Los Angeles Rams by 30-22. The Rams are now in the Super Bowl facing the New England Patriots.
