Back in April of 2018, the Los Angeles Rams traded wide receiver Tavon Austin to the Dallas Cowboys. It was a sudden and surprising move with the Sean McVay and company struggling to include Austin and Dallas in desperate need of a wideout.

On Sunday, the Rams will play host to the Cowboys with Austin returning to Los Angeles to take on his former team in a highly anticipated playoff matchup. Austin recently talked about the Rams and how he feels about the team that drafted him back in 2013 ahead of this postseason showdown at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, via Kate Hairopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.

“I love the Rams to death,” he said. “Every game is emotional, it ain't really a difference. … I'm not going to make this a Tavon vs. the Rams thing. … I'm over here, ready to have some fun and go play football.”

Austin also opened up about getting traded by the Rams last year.

“You're always going to feel disrespected because you're getting traded,” Austin said. “Evidently, you ain't doing something right or you ain't getting it done or they don't believe in you.”

The Cowboys and Austin will head into Sunday's matchup against the Rams as underdogs. Although Dallas has turned things around this season and is coming off a solid playoff win over the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles will be the biggest challenge they've faced thus far.

As for Austin, he's had a rough year in Dallas playing in only seven games catching only eight passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

The veteran wideout is dealing with a groin injury but is expected to play on Sunday.
