Early on in the first round matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks, Cowboys wideout Allen Hurns appeared to shatter his ankle.

Right after the injury, one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history Hall of Famer Terrell Owens tweeted out his thoughts and prayers towards the young man.

Owens was one of the most polarizing athletes coming into the 21st century.

He played on many teams, but mainly with the San Francisco 49ers for nine years. The rest of his career was spent bouncing around the league. He also played with the Eagles, the Cowboys, the Bills and then finally with the Bengals.

Overall, Owens had nine total years where he amassed over 1,000 yards in a season. Granted, these were before rule changes caused the NFL to evolve into even more of a pass-first league, so his production is even more impressive.

He brought in a total of 153 touchdowns and led the NFL in touchdowns three times. He averaged 14.8 yards per catch, as he was a deep threat for the entirety of his career.

Hurns is a fifth-year veteran who had just joined the Cowboys this season. They signed him to a two-year, 12 million dollar contract.

His best season came in 2015 with the Jaguars where he had 1,031 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns on the season.

This season for the Cowboys, Hurns only started seven games and grabbed 20 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns.

Hopefully, he is able to fully recover from his devastating injury and will be able to continue to play football moving forward.
