Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick continues to work his way back from a rare auto-immune disease. While the anchor of the Cowboys offensive line was forced to miss significant time last season, it appears as though things have taken a turn in a positive direction for Frederick.

“I have been working out with the team,” the veteran offensive lineman recently told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We eased kind of back into that to make sure that everything’s healthy and stable before we start going heavy, but as far as on-the-field stuff, I’m doing almost everything. We’ll have some stuff modified in OTAs, but most of that is for the shoulder. You don’t want to re-injure something while it’s coming back from the surgery. But as far as on the field, I feel good, and in the weight room in my other auxiliary lifts, I’m doing really well there as well. So for the most part, I feel really good. We won’t know until I get out there and put the pads on and take my first rep whether or not it’s going to go well.”

The Cowboys surely need a healthy Frederick back in the fold this upcoming season. Dallas will try to compete for a NFC East title in 2019. With the always dangerous Philadelphia Eagles seemingly being the Cowboys' only threat, Dallas has a very good chance of making a deep run through the postseason. However, this may become a tough task if Frederick isn't on the field or able to play well.
