The Dallas Cowboys' “Thursday Night Football” tilt with the Chicago Bears will allow FOX broadcast analyst Troy Aikman an opportunity to cover his old team, specifically, America's Team.

However, before the festivities of kickoff even begun, Aikman is critical of the Cowboys. He does not believe coaching on its own is why the team has struggled to win consistently. He took a shot at his former boss, owner Jerry Jones, in alluding to the organization being a part of their failures.

“It’s not run, traditionally, the way most organizations are. I think that’s to the detriment of the Cowboys. I don’t think you can look at three playoff wins in the last 25 years and surmise that all of the problems over that time have been a result of coaching,” said Aikman on Thursday, via The Cowboys Wire.

Aikman also called coaching the Cowboys “the hardest job in football,” likely due to the immense pressure on, however, leads the NFL's most valuable franchise. With that in mind, he believes Jason Garrett has “done a really nice job” coaching Dallas for the last 10 years. However, he did note that if it doesn't have a playoff run, Dallas will likely fire somebody from the top.

Many are coming for the head of Garrett, who has an ultra-talented Cowboys roster at 6-6 — yet, somehow on top of the NFC East. However, Dallas' struggles may not be all on the coach, at least according to one of their greatest quarterbacks in franchise history.
