Granted that the Los Angeles Rams and the Chicago Bears are still playing as of this writing, it’s probably safe to say that no player has had a louder game Sunday night than that of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Cooper did everything he could to will the Cowboys to a 29-23 win in overtime against the Philadelphia Eagles at home in Week 14. In fact, according to ESPN Stats & Info, Cooper became just the first player in NFL history to rack up more than two go-ahead touchdown scores in the final quarter and in overtime of the same contest.

Amari Cooper is the 1st player in NFL history with 3 go-ahead receiving TD in the 4th-quarter/OT of the same game. Cooper is also the 3rd Cowboys player with 200 Rec yds and 3 Rec TD in a single game. He joins Michael Irvin (1992) and Frank Clarke (1962).

Indeed, Amari Cooper was the man for the Cowboys in Week 14. Cooper repeatedly delivered the goods for the Dallas when it mattered the most.

With the game tied 9-9 with a little under eight minutes in regulation, Cooper took a 28-yard pass from quarterback Dak Prescott and turned it into a 75-yard touchdown score to give the Cowboys a 16-9 lead. The Eagles answered right back, with Philly tight end scoring a touchdown to even up the score again. Cooper wasn’t done, though, as he burned rubber for a 75-yard touchdown score with three minutes remaining – before Eagles veteran tailback Darren Sproles somehow found the end zone to sent the game into overtime.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, Cooper had enough gas left in his tank to score a 15-yard touchdown reception off of a deflection to win the game for Dallas. The play may be fluky, but Cooper had been so good before that play to negate any doubts about him making that catch either way.

Cooper finished the game with 217 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 10 receptions and 13 targets.
