The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the most prolific rushing attacks in the entire NFL over the last couple of years. They've done so on the strength of one of the best offensive lines in the league, which includes All-Pro guard Zack Martin, blocking for star running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Based on what Martin has seen from Elliott this offseason, the Cowboys running back is looking like someone who’s set to deliver yet another strong season.

“Just the way he's running, the way he's approaching every day,” offensive lineman Zack Martin said, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “Something just feels different. I think he's ready for a big year.

“He's always been a hard worker, but it's just something different about this year,” Martin said. “He's coming each day, running hard. Although he hasn't played in the preseason, I don't think there's any question that he's ready for this week.”

Elliott didn’t exactly reach the heights of his outstanding rookie season last year, which saw him miss six games due to suspension. But with none of those distractions looming this time around, Elliott now has the chance to focus fully on football.

Given the question marks surrounding the Cowboys’ passing game heading into the season, the team will likely continue to lean heavily on their workhorse back to carry a significant load on offense. Elliott has proven he can handle that sort of responsibility, and if Martin and the Cowboys line can do their part, Zeke should be able to live up to his lineman’s lofty expectations.
