The Dallas Cowboys fell flat at home on Monday night in a discouraging 28-14 loss against the Tennessee Titans that has brought up more questions concerning the offensive game plan.

Despite this porous effort, head coach Jason Garrett has stated that there will not be any coaching changes involving offensive coordinator Scott Linehan being removed from his job, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

“Right now, Scott Linehan is going to call the plays on offense,” Garrett said Tuesday.

It has been a porous start to the year on that side of the ball for the Cowboys that has seen them struggle tremendously ranking 26th with 19.3 points per contest along with being 29th in passing with 188.4 yards per game. This has seen the Cowboys notch 20 points three times this year.

The bulk of these issues have come with their lack of effectiveness in the passing game with third-year quarterback Dak Prescott struggling to take the next step in his progression in his development as he has cracked more than 270 passing yards just once this season. These struggles have been partially pinned on the team's lack of talent around him at wide receiver and tight end along with some injuries along the offensive line.

However, there hasn't been consistent play from him that would suggest that his lack of success has been because of the team's lack of talent around him in the skilled positions aside from Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys have taken the step to bring aboard former Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper in a trade to help pick up things on that end.

Garrett's comments do leave the door open to a possible change coming about if things continue to remain on the same path offensively for the Cowboys over the rest of the season.
