The Dallas Cowboys finally decided to pull the trigger on parting ways with star wide receiver Dez Bryant last Friday after eight seasons with the team. This left a significant void in the passing game that the front office will look to fill prior to the 2018 campaign.

The Cowboys had already brought aboard a few wide receivers via free agency in Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson. However, Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks of The NFL Network believe that Dallas could be hedging toward adding a promising wide receiver with their first-round pick at the 19th overall spot.

This year's crop of wide receivers has been touted as being a deep class, but there a couple of standouts at the top with the likes of Alabama's Calvin Ridley, SMU's Courtland Sutton, and Maryland's DJ Moore, Oklahoma State's James  Washington, and Florida's Antonio Calloway.
The Cowboys have already had top 30 pre-draft visits with each of these players with Jason Garrett being the only head coach at Sutton's Pro Day. There is significant interest from the team to find help through the draft in the early rounds. Much of this will hinge on the availability of some of the top talents at their selection.
If Dallas can snag one of these top wideouts, it could provide them a potential long-term answer in place of Bryant that may have the chance to develop into the team's top receiving option down the line. With the 2018 NFL Draft just a couple of week away, this is certainly something to keep an eye with the Cowboys.
