Dallas Cowboys defensive standout DeMarcus Lawrence might not yet be a household name, but nearly every quarterback in the National Football League fears the man.

In fact, he is so good at putting fear in offenses across the sport, DeMarcus Lawrence probably deserves a rich contract when the time calls for it. However, at least according to the talented player himself, he isn't currently seeking such a thing.

“We'll talk about that {contract} when the time comes,” Lawrence said, as written by Sports Day. ” I'm just going to keep racking up my numbers, and we've just got to get the job done as a team. If the team wins, we all win. That's the main thing.”

What has been a direct result of Lawrence dominating offensive lines is that opposing teams have started to double-team him. This doesn't really concern him either, as he believes that the other guys on his squad will take advantage of such a thing.

“I got a hell of a D-line,” Lawrence said. “They double-team me, then Maliek [Collins], Dino [David Irving], Ty [Tyrone Crawford], Taco [Charlton], Ben [Benson Mayowa] — somebody going to get them. Then, they've got to look over there — and now their ass is mine.”

It isn't an awful strategy. If other players on the Cowboys can take advantage of Lawrence getting all the attention, then it will inevitably circle-back to him. After all, a team can't focus all of its energy on a single guy if others are eating like it is Thanksgiving dinner.
