Former coach Rex Ryan didn't mince his words talking about how he views Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper. Ryan was on Get Up discussing Cooper and his new five-year deal. Ryan went back and forth with Dan Orlovsky and started by saying he thinks Cooper not getting back on the field on fourth down for the Cowboys showed he didn't love football.

That is quite the claim, but only the beginning of how Ryan really felt about the former Alabama Crimson Tide standout.

“To me, this is the biggest disappearing act in the National Football League,” Ryan said. “He doesn't show up on the road … when he's against the top corners, that guy disappears…I wouldn't have paid that turd.”

Ryan went onto say that if he were the Cowboys he would have worried about getting the extension done with Dak Prescott first rather than paying Cooper. This is interesting criticism for a guy not many have questioned. There is no doubt that at times Cooper has struggled in big games, but not many have questioned his heart or love for the game.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media wasn't all that pleased with Ryan for the attack. Rapoport questioned what exactly Cooper has done to deserve this type of criticism. He also said that Ryan should apologize.

No matter what anyone else thinks about Cooper it's clear the Cowboys have faith in him to be a difference-maker in their offense or they wouldn't have signed him to an extension.
