The Creighton Bluejays landed 2018 prospect Marcus Zegarowski on the recruiting trail. The talented guard announced his decision on the mean streets of Twitter.

“It has been and will continue to be a great journey we are all taking together,” Zegarowski wrote on Twitter, after thanking God, his coaches, his family and his friends. “With that being said, I am happy to announce that I will be attending and playing basketball at (Creighton).”

Zegarowski's commitment to Greg McDermott comes just a day after returning from his official visit to their campus.

While some outlets still have him pegged as a 3-star, the point guard has been quickly rising up nearly everyone's recruiting class rankings. He is currently in ESPN's Top 100 for the 2018 class.

He's actually the younger brother of former Syracuse standout Michael Carter-Williams. There's some basketball blood in that family, apparently.

A prolific scorer, Zegarowski averaged 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game playing with Expressions Elite in the Nike EYBL circuit. Creighton loves itself guys who can space the floor, and Zegarowski should fit in nicely with the Bluejays once he arrives on campus.

“They play a very free, fast offense,” Zegarowski said about Creighton to SCOUT. “Everybody is unselfish and they play for each other. Coach Mac made this program into a top 25 program and it's because his principals on offense and defense.”

Marcus Zegarowski is the third commitment for Creighton in the 2018 recruiting class. He joins 4-star big man Ian Steere and 4-star forward Christian Bishop. It is early, but things are shaping up nicely for McDermott's next batch of future Bluejays.
