The Alabama Crimson Tide is an absolute powerhouse, which is why it's no surprise the best players in the country want to play in Tuscaloosa.

In April, former Louisville WR Tyler Harrell entered the transfer portal, and just 10 days later, he committed to Bama. Cardinals head coach Scott Satterfield believes Nick Saban and his recruiting staff tampered with Harrell, but there wasn't any proof.

On Wednesday, Saban fired back at those allegations. Via ESPN:

“We don't tamper with anybody. I don't know of anybody that tampered with him,” the Crimson Tide coach said of Harrell. “You know, I don't really know that anybody's ever tampered with our players. I just think sometimes when things happen it makes you wonder. So I'm not making any accusations against anybody that's done anything to our players and I don't have any knowledge of anybody that's done anything with anybody else's players.”

Harrell had 18 catches for six touchdowns and 532 yards for Louisville and should add a spark to the Crimson Tide offense. Whether any tampering happened or not, Harrell is heading to Alabama for two reasons: To win and hopefully get a shot at the NFL.

It makes sense why the Cardinals would be upset he left, but these big programs have the stature to recruit the best players. Bama also brought in four other plays from the transfer portal as they look to build for 2022.
