In a transfer window that has already been filled with a multitude of surprises, Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of once again pulling off a blockbuster transfer move.

As noted by Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Ronaldo has communicated to Juventus club officials of his desire to leave the club over the final week of the ongoing summer transfer window.

Ronaldo is said to have already emptied out his locker room in anticipation of a move away from the Bianconeri.

Juventus has chosen not to engage in a transfer standoff with Ronaldo but is rather pushing towards granting his wish to leave the club. This comes after Juventus club officials held a meeting with Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, to further discuss the forward's future at the club.

At the moment, Manchester City is the lone club in the transfer race for Ronaldo. After electing not to go all out to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, the Premier League side is now preparing to make an offer of €30 million for the Portuguese star.

From Juventus' perspective, the club is already on the lookout for possible last-minute signings to help replace Ronaldo's staggering goal production. Di Marzio adds that Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi and Everton forward Moise Kean are both options for the club, although the former prefers to remain with the Ligue 1 giants, especially as Kylian Mbappe may be heading out the door to Real Madrid.

This transfer saga has had one turn after another. Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri noted last week that Ronaldo was not going to leave the club in the ongoing summer transfer window, but this is expected to change in the coming days.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 101 goals in his three-season run with Juventus to go along with five trophies won. For the moment, he is currently slated to hit free agency next year.
