After announcing his official retirement from the NBA on Tuesday, Ray Allen has received a lot of greetings on social media from current and former players.

One of them is back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry, who is also known for his elite shooting ability, just like Allen. In his congratulatory tweet for the two-time NBA champion, Curry hailed Allen as the best at their forte.

Allen has decided to call it a day and end his career which includes two championships, one with the Boston Celtics in 2008 and the other one with the Miami Heat in 2013. He is also the league's all-time leader in three-point field goals made with 2,973 and is widely considered as one of the best shooters in league history.

Curry, on the other hand, is quickly closing in on Allen's numbers and has already eclipsed his season record twice over the past two years. He currently has 1,605 made threes in his career, and is only 28-years-old. He is expected to take over the all-time record should he continue to play at this pace, and injury-free.

As they say, game recognizes game, and with Curry congratulating Jesus Shuttlesworth on an amazing career, he did just that and remained humble in doing so by giving all the credit that was due to Allen.
