With ongoing allegations swirling around Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, he has one former coach who's in his corner. That coach is Clemson Tigers head man Dabo Swinney.

In an article posted on TMZ, Sweeney says while he was surprised and disappointed to see Watson's name in the news for this, Sweeney still loves Deshaun Watson.

“He’s like a son to me. That's how I love him. As far as the legal stuff and all that … that will take its course. Certainly can't speculate or comment on any of that stuff, but all I can tell you is I've known Deshaun since the 9th grade and he's been nothing but exemplary in every area that I've ever known him in.”

The allegations came as a shocking surprise to most, and Watson has made on statement so far eluding to it being a money grab while noting he is looking forward to clearing his name.

To date, there have been 14 different women who have filed lawsuits against Watson. The attorney for all of the women, Tony Buzbee, states there are more to come. He claims there are upwards of ten more women who could take action against Watson.

Dabo Swinney has known Deshaun Watson since he was a freshman in high school and said he never had any issues with the star when he was at Clemson.
