The Dallas Cowboys are currently sitting with a 6-4 regular-season record heading into a matchup with the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

It will be important for the Cowboys to get a win against the Patriots for the sake of staying on top of the NFC East standings. Dallas will need a great individual performance from quarterback Dak Prescott to have their best chance of victory.

Many consider Prescott as being one of the league's top candidates for the 2019 NFL MVP Award at the current moment. Getting a win on the road against a Tom Brady led squad would be a memorable achievement that Prescott could put on his resume for his candidacy of the highest individual honor in professional football.

Here are three bold predictions for Prescott when he takes on the Patriots.

3. Prescott will throw for 300+ yards and 2+ touchdowns

If Prescott were to put together a performance against the Patriots with at least 300 yards and two passing touchdowns, he would be the first quarterback to do so this season. For reference, only Ben Roethlisberger (276) and Carson Wentz (214) have reached 200 yards passing and no quarterback has thrown for multiple touchdowns against the Patriots this season.

It's worth noting that the Patriots haven't gone up against many great quarterbacks so far this season, but their defense has still been very strong, nevertheless. Regardless, it won't be easy, but Prescott will manage to achieve both of those impressive marks.

2. Prescott will have a rushing touchdown

The Baltimore Ravens showed the rest of the NFL that a quarterback that can get the job done on the ground is a great asset during a matchup with the Patriots' defense. While he only totaled 163 passing yards and one touchdown through the air, it was critical that he added 61 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Prescott is not the running threat that Jackson has proven to be and that's because of the fact that the Ravens quarterback is in unprecedented territory in that faction of the game. However, Prescott will still manage to record a needed rushing touchdown.

1. Prescott will lead the Cowboys to a win

If Prescott does manage to finish with a strong individual performance, it's reasonable to believe that the Cowboys will win this game. There has been a legitimate correlation between Prescott managing to find success with Dallas winning football games.

A win against the Patriots would be big for the Cowboys and they will almost certainly need to win it off the excellence of Prescott. Managing to hold a 7-4 record heading into their Week 13 matchup with the Buffalo Bills would set them well on track for a trip to the playoffs.
