In his guesting on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard made intriguing comments about forming a “super team.”

Many thought of it as a shot to Kevin Durant joining the already-powerhouse Golden State Warriors lineup.

The 26-year-old Oakland native pointed out that it's the player's right and they are allowed to do it, but also discussed how his pride will get in the way should he have a chance to join a star-studded team.

His take on the matter can be considered as a challenge to the team that eliminated them in last season's playoffs. It may be a tall task, at least on paper, considering the talent in Portland compared to Golden State, but Lillard is known to be a tough competitor and will not back down from anything.

When the Weber State alum was asked if he regrets voicing out his comments, he had a very short, but clear response to BlackSportsOnline's Tweet to him:

A lot of games are already labeled as marquee match-ups this coming season, but it's still not too late to add November 1st to the list as this will be the first time the Warriors and Trail Blazers square-off after their West Semis series back in May. Be sure to mark your calendars.
