In a shocking twist, two players from the recently crowned Worlds champions have entered free agency. DAMWON Gaming's Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon & Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee have requested the shift towards free agency. It's a bizarre move to swiftly part ways with an organization especially following a world championship win. The two skilled players are now up for grabs for any team.

DAMWON Gaming sent out the official announcement via its official Twitter. The announcement concluded with the management's intention of renewing the players' contracts. It's a shocking move for both players to actively request to enter free agency, however, it's not entirely unsound. Their player stock skyrocketed with the addition of a Worlds win under their belt. Both players have the option for new contracts with DAMWON but any team can swoop in and acquire them.

The players transitioning to a different LOL region also remains a possibility. The NA and EU regions both have former world champions bolstering their rosters. NA especially has been home to 2013 world champion Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong since 2015.
