The co-main of UFC 274 featured a historically boring fight between Rose Namajunas vs Carla Esparza. UFC president Dana White gave his reaction to the fight and it was very predictable.

Many were confused by the fight and it seemed like Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza didn’t want to engage. Dana White was just as confused about it like everyone else.

“It was a weird fight,” White said at the UFC 274 post-fight press conference via MMAJunkie. “Seemed like they didn’t want to engage. I think they threw a total of six punches in the first round. It was a tough one. That happens sometimes.”

Carla Esparza ended up winning by split decision and Rose Namajunas was not happy with the decision. Dana White was asked about how he scored the fight at UFC 274.

“I don’t even know, man,” White said. “I started zoning out like halfway through it.”

Rose Namajunas losing the title at UFC 274 was quite surprising and many were wondering what was next for her. There has been talk of a potential trilogy but Dana White got brutally honest while answering the question.

“I don’t think anyone is clamoring for that rematch,” White said. “We’ll have to figure something else out. Rose is one of the best. She’s always gonna be there. We’ll see what happens.”

Carla Esparza has a few options ahead of her next and that could include the winner of Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Weili Zhang or even Jessica Andrade. It will have to be seen what Dana White and the UFC want to do next.
