UFC president Dana White says Khabib Nurmagomedov broke his foot three weeks before his UFC 254 fight with Justin Gaethje.

In typical Nurmagomedov fashion, Khabib didn't tell anyone (via Bleacher Report).

This is incredible and makes Khabib Nurmagomedov look like even more of a legend than he already was. The UFC legend finishes his fighting career a perfect 29-0. Nurmagomedov shockingly retired from the sport after defeating Justin Gaethje on Saturday. Khabib, who tragically lost his father in July, told his mother that the Gaethje fight was going to be his last bout no matter what.

Khabib Nurmagomedov will go down as one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time. He entered the cage 29 times and came out victorious every time. Not many UFC fighters can say they had a perfect career.

To win the fight in the fashion in which he did despite breaking his foot three weeks ago points to how special Nurmagomedov is. He wanted to dedicate this fight to his late dad and the entire family and he made sure he went out on top.

Sports fans are comparing Nurmagomedov's win over Gaethje to Michael Jordan's 1996 championship over the Seattle SuperSonics. Jordan won his fourth title on Father's Day and was crying after he won since his dad was murdered in the summer of 1993.

Khabib Nurmagomedov will no doubt go down as one of the biggest legends in the history of UFC with 29 consecutive victories in the octagon. Now all that remains after his retirement is where pundits and fighting fans rank Khabib in the all-time list.
