D'Angelo Russell didn't have the year he was expecting to have with the Lakers this season. We saw some positives from Russell, specifically when he moved over to the shooting guard position, but it was still overall a disappointing year.

Russell averaged over 15 points per game on the season yet only shot 40 percent from the field. The part that is very promising about D'Angelo is that he played less than 30 minutes per game for the Lakers. We still have not seen anywhere close to the best from D'Angelo yet.

D'Angelo Russell talked with SLAM Magazine the other day and said that he would talk to Kobe Bryant about possibly getting in the gym with him this summer:

SLAM: There are reports of Brandon Ingram going to workout with Kobe. Will you be working out with Kobe too?

DR: I’m going to definitely reach out to him. I just feel like there’s so many guys reaching out to him, tugging his way.

With Kobe Bryant gone, the team is now in the hands of D'Angelo Russell. There is definitely so much that D'Angelo Russell could learn from Kobe Bryant and Lakers fans will be pleading for this to become a reality this summer.
