You don’t earn yourself the nickname of ‘Trader Danny' across the league for no reason. General Manager of the Boston Celtics, Danny Ainge is notoriously open and creative when it comes to finding deals that he believes will benefit his team.

Ainge’s borderline cut-throat attitude toward getting what is best for the club means that whenever a major talent grows unhappy or a team makes them available, Celtics are rumored to be in the running.

According to Brian Robb of Boston.com, Ainge has made it clear that this summer is no exception and the organization ‘[has] some plans’. Ainge stated that he was obviously disappointed not to have lured Kevin Durant to Beantown, but remains open minded about bringing some new blood to the city.

In probably the second best coup of this free agency, the Celtics managed to convince four-time All Star Al Horford to play for the team. That doesn’t appear to be the end of the immediate roster improvement as Ainge has stated that “we’re not done.”

Boston has accumulated a stash of assets over the last few years and many fans are hoping that the time for Danny Ainge to cash them in is forthcoming.
