Former NBA player Darius Miles is already bankrupt and is finding ways on how to stay afloat and earn some money. He recently made a sale of some of the NBA memorabilia he owned in order to get some cash in return.

The good news for him is that they were sold quickly. The rare items included a LeBron James-signed jersey and another one with Larry Bird’s autograph. Lamar Odom and Dirk Nowitzki‘s game-worn shoes were also among the hot items, according to TMZ Sports.

“LeBron James signed jersey ($1,500), Larry Bird signed jersey ($100), AR15 firearm ($500), Beretta Cx4 Storm gun ($400), Self-contained karaoke machine ($75), Dirk Nowitzki signed shoe ($375), Lamar Odom signed shoe ($225), 5 VHS players (total of $21.50) and a toaster for $2.00.”

Although Miles earned nearly $62 million over his NBA career, he had to file for bankruptcy last year as he only owned close to $500,000 in assets, but is over $1.5 million in debt. He also has unpaid child support fees amounting to $20,000.

Miles played seven seasons in the NBA for four different franchises, including the Memphis Grizzlies, who he last suited up for back in the 2003-2004 campaign. He owns decent career averages of 10.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 446 total appearances. He was a very talented player with the ability to score in different ways, but struggled to find his niche in the league.

He is not the first former NBA player who has struggled with finances after retirement, however, it's still possible for him to bounce back and become successful despite this difficult situation. Antoine Walker did just that, and he can be an inspiration to Miles, who will look to stand up on his feet again.
