Steam Database, the bug Steam insight platform, potentially leaked the details on this year's first Steam Sale. Steam DB, in a Tweet, alleged that the 2021 Lunar New Year Sale will take place from February 11 to 15. PC players around the world know two things about Steam Sales. First, it's a massive money sink that threatens the very existence of wallets. Second, there's no telling when actual steam sales take place unless Valve makes the announcement. This year's first sale may break the mold.

Preparing for war

Every time the Steam Sale rolls out and casually siphons money from players, said players often swear off on getting new games. However, everyone gathers around once even the slightest whiff of a potential steam sale is on the horizon.

The most recent sale ended officially on January 6, 2021. There seems to be no shortage of good deals for the digital game storefront if Valve is preparing for another round of deals. The details have so far been unsubstantiated but leaks are everything players can hold on to while we wait for an official announcement from Valve.

The projected dates make sense considering that this year's Chinese New Year is on February 12, 2021.

The next truly big Steam Sale is expected to take place sometime in June or July. Regardless, there will be no shortage of available deals on great games when the Lunar New Year Sale officially takes place.
