Lee, 34, played last season with the San Antonio Spurs, and averaged 7.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 18.7 minutes off the bench. He had a $2.3 million player option with the Spurs for this season, but he decided to decline it.

Lee played 14 seasons in the NBA, with career averages of 13.5 points and 8.8 rebounds. He was a double-double machine in his prime, averaging 18 points and nearly 11 rebounds over a six-year stretch. He spent his first five years with the New York Knicks, who selected him 30th overall in the 2005 draft, before spending the next five seasons with the Golden State Warriors.

Lee earned two All-Star selections in his career, one as a Knick and one as a Warrior. He was also part of Golden State’s 2014-15 championship-winning team, but he was only a bit-part player in that team as he lost his spot in the starting lineup to Draymond Green.

Lee was eventually traded to the Boston Celtics prior to the 2015-16 season. After getting waived midway through the season, he played the rest of the year with the Dallas Mavericks before signing with the Spurs as a free agent the following summer.

Earlier this month, Lee announced his engagement to women’s tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
