Although he had just started his professional career, Nike already signed this year’s fifth overall pick, De’Aaron Fox, after coming away very impressed with his skills and upside.

The shoe and apparel manufacturer even gave the Sacramento Kings rookie a gift recently, and he took to his Instagram account to share to his followers a photo of the PE colorway of the Kobe Bryant model design, exclusively made for him. It also came with a filter paper cover that has his name on it, as well as the famous “swoosh” logo of Nike.

The colorway is believed to be inspired by the anime television show Dragon Ball Z, as it is one of Fox’s all-time favorite shows while growing up. However, it remains to be seen if he will be able to wear them during a Kings game because the colors do not match the team’s aesthetics.

With the gesture made for him by Nike, it won’t come as a surprise if he’ll have his own line of signature kicks in the future. If he excels straight out of the gates, he may follow the footsteps of the brand's other sponsored players such as LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant, just to name a few.
