Kentucky freshman point guard De'Aaron Fox has signed a multi-year shoe deal with Nike, according to Nick DePaula of The Vertical.

Fox was the top target for the major brands out in the market, making this yet another big name in the regalia of athletes that sport the iconic swoosh across their sneakers.

The 19-year-old has plenty of commercial value given his speed and athleticism on the court, which is bound to make him an exciting player to watch this upcoming season.

He is projected to be a lottery pick in this year's NBA Draft, going as high as No. 2 to the Los Angeles Lakers and as low as No. 6 to the Orlando Magic— currently slotted at the No. 5 position to the talent-starved Sacramento Kings, according to DraftExpress.

Amidst all the hype surrounding Lonzo Ball‘s new Big Baller Brand, once can see excitement in drawing comparisons among these two talented players in this lucrative draft. Taking the route of creating your own brand from the start is bold, but can truly become something more special than simply joining the swoosh club early on. But we will have to see how the Ball family handles the shoe game.
