It sure has been rough being a part of the Sacramento Kings fan base for the last decade. This California-based team has been unable to have a regular season above .500 since 2006, and although they have seen somewhat gradual improvement, the team just has not gelled well enough to make it to the postseason.

But according to DeMarcus Cousins, arguably their best player, next season will be the start of something new.

“I’m extremely excited,” commented Cousins on the upcoming season. “I’m very confident this is going to be our year. This is the year we turn it around.”

It may come to no surprise that Cousins is as excited as he is, especially considering the firing of head coach George Karl. Cousins and Karl have been known to feud with one another on certain issues on the team, so introducing former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger to the program surely excites the star center.

From what it seems, the two have kicked things off quite well. If Cousins, Joerger, and the rest of the team can take this jubilant attitude to next year, they may have better luck having a positive regular season.
