DeMarcus Cousins gave the media something different to talk about on Tuesday night after one of the most bizarre not-really-ejections of all-time.

After dogging Trail Blazers center Mason Plumlee with a spin move and a strong finish in the lane, Cousins celebrated his massive all-around performance by swinging his arms, clapping and ultimately what seemed like him spitting his mouthpiece out of his mouth.

The Sacramento Kings center was assessed a second technical foul and ejected soon after, at which point he went running into the tunnel and into the locker room.

Shortly after reviewing the incident, head coach Dave Joerger was asked by the officials to bring his star center back from the locker room, which he did to a triumphant applause from the Golden 1 Center.

It was a crazy day for Boogie as he received a “substantial fine” by the league in the morning after his verbal spat with Sacramento Bee columnist Andy Furillo.

Whatever anger problems the dynamic big man had, he took it out on the Blazers — pouring in a season-high 55 points to go with 13 rebounds and three blocks.

DeMarcus Cousins had an odd day in the office, but one that will surely be engraved in the mind of fans that were there to witness the show he put on. The Kings (11-17) ultimately took down the Blazers (13-17) in crunch time 126-121, thanks to Boogie's 17-of-28 day from the field, making 5-of-8 from deep and a stellar 17-of-18 from the free-throw line.
