Rajon Rondo has seen a number of NBA locker rooms these past few seasons, playing with the MavericksKings, Bulls after his eight year stint with the Celtics.  Now, the bouncing point guard has landed on the New Orleans Pelicans, hoping to make the immediate impact he wish he could have made on the Bulls' franchise last year. But this move is a little different than landing behind the likes of Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade: He will join his old teammate DeMarcus Cousins.

For what it's worth, Rondo was able to bolster a league-leading 11.7 assists per game during his time with the Kings, and a lot of those assists came from Cousins tearing his way to the rim. This could likely be the reason why Cousins has reportedly played a tangential role in recruiting Rondo to the Pelicans for a one-year deal.

Although Cousins has always been seen as a hothead in the media, NBA players can probably tell his basketball IQ is through the roof, and are willing to work with his talents. Hopefully, Rondo will be that key piece needed to get Cousins and Anthony Davis going for a deep postseason run.
