The Denver Broncos are set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in an important Week 2 matchup. Considering the AFC West is an extremely competitive conference right now, a win is mandatory for the Broncos hopes to make a playoff push later in the season. It's time to continue our NFL predictions series with a Broncos Week 2 prediction.

The Broncos' defense is one of the best in the league and will keep them competitive throughout the season. They might be in for a field day, considering how bad the Jaguars looked against a putrid Houston Texans team. Look for Denver to take advantage of Jacksonville, as they'll challenge Trevor Lawrence on Sunday.

This franchise has some major talent on the offense that could surprise a lot of people. We should see the run game in full swing in this game. Additionally, with the fall of Jerry Jeudy, another young wide receiver should step up in a big way. Lastly, the quarterback situation isn't ideal, but Teddy Bridgewater could have a solid game on Sunday. With that said, here are four bold predictions for the Broncos' Week 2 matchup versus the Jaguars.

Broncos Week 2 Predictions

4. Broncos defense forces multiple turnovers

We watched Trevor Lawrence throw three interceptions in his rookie debut against a questionable Texans defense. The Broncos arguably have the best secondary in the league, with a front seven that compliments them well. Denver's defense will pressure Lawrence and force him to make some rookie mistakes. If they do that, the Broncos should walk away with another win.

3. Javonte Williams proves his worth

Javonte Williams split playing time with Melvin Gordon and both running backs played well. Williams is the future starting running back for this franchise though, and he could prove that on Sunday. The Broncos selected him in the second round of the NFL draft this offseason, and he's in line to show off his skill set against the Jaguars.

2. KJ Hamler fills Jerry Jeudy's role nicely

Losing Jerry Jeudy is a tough scenario the Broncos would have liked to avoid. However, KJ Hamler looks to fill that role immediately. He played well in the season opener and could have had a bigger day if it weren't for a dropped pass that would have been a touchdown. Hamler should be playing as one of Bridgewater's favorite targets against Jacksonville. This is a huge opportunity for KJ Hamler to earn an expanded role for the rest of the season.

1. Teddy Bridgewater puts on a solid performance

Say what you want about Teddy Bridgewater, but he had a great game against the New York Giants in Week 1. He now heads down to Jacksonville to take on a worse defense. Although Jeudy won't be available, the Broncos still have a plethora of pass targets at Bridgewater's disposal. This is a great matchup for the Broncos' offense as the Jaguars seem to still be figuring things out. For that reason, we could see Bridgewater put on another solid performance and lead the Broncos to another important victory.
