New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose might be slapped with a fine or even face a suspension from his team after skipping their game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday without warning.
With only a few minutes left before tip-off, team officials were still uncertain where the former MVP was and they were forced to scratch his name off the active players list. News surfaced after the game that he was tending to a family situation but his exact location was still not determined.
According to sources Rose told the team he had a family situation.

A day after going AWOL, more updates about his situation are expected to come up that will enlighten the Knicks on what caused him not to report for the game on Monday.
Should the team ultimately decide to fine or suspend him, it will be considered a huge dent to his already rocky relationship with the Knicks' coaching staff and management especially now that talks for his possible contract extension are expected to commence anytime soon.
What exactly happened to him is anybody's guess at this point, but any development on his situation will surely be monitored closely.
