The top stars on the offense are either dealing with injuries or COVID. Even so, the Lions are coming alive in the final stretch of the season. There seems to be a good chance Jared Goff comes off the COVID list. If he does, we should see him put up big numbers in back-to-back weeks. If he can do that, we should see another solid performance out of Amon-Ra St. Brown. This is a winnable game for Detroit and Dan Campbell will do everything in his power to earn another victory.

With that said, here are four bold Lions Week 16 predictions for their game against the Falcons.

Lions Week 16 Predictions

4. Detroit's defense bottles up Matt Ryan

Detroit caught the entire world off guard with their impressive performance against the Cardinals in Week 15. The defense will need to be on point again if they hope to stun the Falcons. This Lions defense is hungry to prove themselves and have a great opportunity to upset Atlanta on Sunday.

To do so, the defense must pressure Matt Ryan. The Falcons' quarterback has struggled lately, which bodes well for the Lions. Look for Detroit to take advantage of Ryan, as he's not a mobile quarterback whatsoever.

3. Jared Goff clears COVID protocols and torches Atlanta's secondary

Jared Goff just played his best game with the Lions and could be in for another one on Sunday. He seems to have found a favorite target in Amon-Ra St. Brown, who has come alive these last few weeks. If Goff can return from the Reserve/COVID list, he should be able to pick up right where he left off and lead Detroit to another victory.

2. Amon-Ra St. Brown continues his recent success, records 2 touchdowns

With TJ Hockenson on the IR, the Lions needed someone to elevate their play in the passing game. Amon-Ra St. Brown stepped up to the challenge, as he's been lights out for Detroit. He's proven himself as a reliable pass catcher and could be in store for another big performance.

The Falcons hope to slow him down, as AJ Terrell has been dominating as a cornerback this year. Although that's true, Terrell doesn't shadow, as he sticks to one side of the field. Look for the Lions to keep St. Brown away from Terrell and exploit the rest of Atlanta's weak secondary.

1. Lions earn their 3rd win on the season

It's been a miserable year for the Lions, but fans should be excited about this matchup. A loss moves Detroit into a better draft position, while a win spoils the Falcons' season. Even so, Dan Campbell will do everything in his power to achieve victory on Sunday. Look for this franchise to carry their momentum from the Cardinals game and upset Atlanta on Sunday.
