With the Detroit Lions Week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, we'll be witnessing a potential revenge game for Jared Goff. This is a tough game for Detroit, but it's an important one. That's why we'll be looking at this Lions-Rams game with predictions in mind.

The Lions' defense has actually played decent this year. Even so, they have a tough matchup against a high-flying Rams offense that is lighting up the scoreboard. Detroit must find a way to slow down LA, otherwise, this game could get ugly quickly.

Detroit can't get much going on offense, but they could take Los Angeles by surprise. To do that, everything must come together. Jared Goff doesn't have to be perfect, but he must play much better. Additionally, D'Andre Swift needs to be at the top of his game, while Amon-Ra St. Brown could flash his talents with a strong performance. With that said, here are four bold Lions Week 7 predictions against the Rams.

Lions Week 7 Predictions

4. Lions defense finds a way to shut down Matthew Stafford

This might be unrealistic, but it's the best chance the Lions have at winning this game. It's not like Matthew Stafford is a scrambler, but he has one of the best arms in the league. For Detroit to win this game, but they must apply pressure and make Stafford uncomfortable in the pocket.

3. Jared Goff throws 2 touchdowns and has a decent day

Considering how good the Rams' secondary is, this will be an incredibly difficult task. However, if the Lions can get creative, they could stun LA's defense on Sunday. For that to happen, everything needs to come together and Goff must improve his gameplay.

The Lions have to get their playmakers involved and write up a scheme that fits Goff's playing style. We should see Detroit dink and dunk it on underneath crossing routes often, as LA's secondary will likely prevent any big plays from happening. Look for Goff to potentially finish with a modest game and record two touchdowns on the day.

2. D'Andre Swift erupts for 150+ all-purpose yards

All signs are pointing towards D'Andre Swift becoming a superstar in this league. One way to prove himself would be to perform well against this tough Rams defense. The Lions need his production if they hope to have a chance on Sunday, which means Swift will likely be a focal point.

They must find a way to get Swift the ball as much as possible. Detroit should get creative and keep using him in the passing game. We'll see how it plays out, but if D'Andre Swift can play well, then the Lions just might have a chance.

1. Amon-Ra St. Brown breaks 100 yards receiving and records his first career touchdown

Amon-Ra St. Brown has slowly and steadily shown improvement. Considering he's a fourth-round rookie, it wasn't expected for him to succeed right away. However, due to the Lions' lack of receivers, St. Brown has a real chance to secure a featured role on the roster.

For that reason, he could be in for a big game against Los Angeles. Most of their attention will be on TJ Hockenson and D'Andre Swift. Now is the time for Amon-Ra St. Brown to step up and deliver as the Lions' top receiver on the roster.
