Now playing in his second year in the NBA, Phoenix Suns shooter Devin Booker has already tested his mettle against James Harden, Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Russell Westbrook, and the best guards in the league.

However, when asked who he thinks has been the toughest matchup for him is, Booker gave a surprising answer.

“Sheesh. There’s a lot. I’ll say… Dame [Damian Lillard] and CJ [McCollum]. Both of them. Constant motion, they’re always looking to score. And they have great role players around them who understand that they’re the dominant scorer, so they’ll set really good screens for them, and they get a lot of good looks.”

The Suns and Portland Trail Blazers have been in tough and highly-competitive matchups over the past year and are having themselves a brewing rivalry. Booker's statement goes to show how he puts more pride in games against Portland, and how much he respects both Lillard and McCollum.

So far this season, the Suns and Blazers have already met twice, splitting the two games. Booker finished those contests with 15 and 23 points respectively. Though his scoring on both occasions are still decent, the dynamic backcourt of the Blazers outplayed him and his teammate Eric Bledsoe.

It will be very interesting to see how Devin Booker plays next time they face the Blazers, and if he'll show more aggressiveness against the tough-to-crack duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. They are still slated to face each other twice this season, on March 12 and April 1.
