DICE will be focusing on fixing Battlefield 2042 following its disastrous launch.

Fans already know better than to expect Electronic Arts to release a Battlefield game flawlessly, but Battlefield 2042‘s disastrous launch far supersedes and failed launch it had before. Simply put, this is the worst Battlefield launch state we've ever seen before. To get a grasp of just how bad this launch is, there's a Reddit thread that lists all of the bugs and missing features in Battlefield 2042.

In response to all of these issues, DICE posted a massive blog post detailing the changes that they plan to implement in the game. There are bug fixes and balance updates, but more importantly, DICE promised to introduce or re-introduce features that are missing in the game.

Star Wars Battlefront players would know better than to expect a lot from these promises. DICE has been very notorious when it comes to bug fixes and features implementation. Battlefront players, and even Battlefield players themselves, know just how DICE would promise fixes and changes that will take them a long time to follow through.

Hence, while the new update will be coming this Thursday, fans don't really have very high expectations on how well this new patch could help salvage Battlefield 2042. We still hope though, for the sake of those who purchased the game, that DICE could still make Battlefield 2042 great again.
