With the Carolina Panthers going up for sale, musician Puff Daddy (Diddy, etc.) claims he would like to buy the National Football League franchise.

Current Panthers owner Jerry Richardson is accused of some incredibly awful things. In lieu of that, he has placed the franchise on sale. While Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is out in public “admiring” an alleged serial awful person, Puff Daddy (Diddy … whoever he is now) just wants to buy the team.

“I would like to buy the Panthers,” Diddy tweeted. “Spread the word. . . . There are no majority African American NFL owners. Let’s make history.”

Don't you worry, Bad Boy fans. That wasn't a one-off, jokey tweet. He kept tweeting.

The Panthers issued this statement from Jerry Richardson about the sale of the team:

I believe that it is time to turn the franchise over to new ownership. Therefore I will put the team up for sale at the conclusion of the NFL season. We will not begin the sale process, nor will we entertain any inquiries until the very last game is played. I hope everyone in this organization, both on and off the field, will be firmly focused on just one mission: to play and win the Super Bowl.

While I will no longer be the team owner, I will always be the Panthers Number One fan.

What do you guys think? If Diddy has the money, would it be an awful or great idea for him to own the franchise?

In my opinion, let's do this!
