With the free agency market beginning to thin out, this has picked up the interest for many of the players remaining on the open market.

One of which is veteran guard Dion Waiters, who is nearing a decision on where he will play next season narrowing down his choices to just three teams, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Waiters has been in constant dialogue with each of these teams over the last few days of free agency. He is expected to speak with the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday while he was also talking with the New York Knicks on Tuesday afternoon.

The 25-year-old has a personal connection to the Lakers given that his former agent Rob Pelinka is now the team's general manager. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat are once again a prevalent option in the picture for Waiters after losing out on All-Star forward Gordon Hayward to the Boston Celtics.

Waiters is coming off one of his most productive campaigns in his first year with the Heat where he averaged 15.8 points along with posting career-highs of 39.5 percent from 3-point range and 4.3 assists per contest despite playing in just 46 games. This includes scoring 20 or more points on 16 occasions and two 30-point performances.
