Clayton Kershaw is an actual living legend. The Los Angeles Dodgers star pitcher has remained absolutely incredible despite playing well into his 15th season in the league. There's no question that once he hangs up his cleats, Kershaw will be headed straight to the Hall of Fame.

Because of that, many people are clamoring for Clayton Kershaw to play in the 2022 MLB All-Star Game. Aside from his level of play, another reason is the location where the game will be held: Dodger Stadium. It would be the perfect scenario: the loyal Los Angeles legend getting a standing ovation in front of fans.

Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman was the latest Clayton Kershaw teammate to endorse his teammate. Like most LA natives, Freeman wants his teammate to be recognized in the MLB All-Star in front of the fans that have adored him for a long time now. (via Juan Toribio)

Kershaw has been having a magnificent 2022 season for the Dodgers. After a rocky year, Kershaw has been his usual dominant self: 2.55 ERA over 10 games and 10 starts, along with 59 strikeouts. He's been one of the best pitches in the league this season, and he certainly deserves a spot in the prestigious game.

The full list of participants in the annual MLB All-Star Game will be announced on Sunday. Should Kershaw be selected to the game, he will join fellow Dodgers teammates Mookie Betts and Trea Turner. It will be interesting to see if any other LA player will be selected as an alternate for the game, especially since DH Bryce Harper will most likely not play due to his injury.
