Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager has officially made his way into the history books while wasting absolutely no time on Sunday evening.

With Seager reaching base and driving in a run in the very first inning of his team's Game 5 matchup against the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays, the veteran middle infielder is now in second place on the all-time Major League postseason RBI list.

With at least one more World Series matchup after Sunday evening's Game 5 clash in Arlington, Texas, Seager will have more than enough time to try to move into sole possession of first place on such a list. With eight innings to go in Game 5 as well, Seager needs just three RBI in order to move past St. Louis Cardinals legend and former big league corner infielder David Freese, who tallied 21 RBI back in 2011 (via SB Nation's Eric Stephen).

Of course, it is worth noting that Major League Baseball expanded its playoff format this time around as Seager has had significantly more opportunities than in years past to rack up RBI in 2020 than in past years.

Prior to becoming this year's National League Champions en route to battling it out with the aforementioned Rays, the Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves throughout the 2020 postseason.

With Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow getting the call in Game 5, Seager's first inning knock was just his latest as the seasoned shortstop has remained red hot throughout the playoffs regardless of the opposition or the pitcher standing 60 feet and six inches away from home plate.
