Even Google is celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ end to their 32-year World Series drought. The search engine provided a small, but certainly sweet, tribute to the 2020 World Series champions shortly after they defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 3-1, in Game 6 at the Globe Life Field on Tuesday.

A quick Google search of “Dodgers” shows a virtual blue and red fireworks display which just so happens to be the team's colors. Here's a clip of Google's touching tribute, which is even better if you view it on your own screen.

It is worth noting that Google also rolled out the same nifty feature for the Los Angeles Lakers when they captured the 2020 NBA title against the Miami Heat two weeks ago. Instead of fireworks, Purple and Gold confetti rained down on the screen with every “Lakers” google toggle.

The Dodgers, on the other hand, captured the franchise's seventh World Series title in franchise history, following that spirited close-out game win over the pesky Rays. Right fielder Mookie Betts once again came up big in crucial moments to lead the Dodgers to its first title since 1988.

Laker greats like Earvin “Magic” Johnson and LeBron James, among other big-name athletes, poured in their congratulations to the Dodgers for their amazing season. The King even suggested a joint championship celebration between the two champion L.A. teams.

Google, meanwhile, knew the Dodgers would likely be the No.1 trending topic in the world shortly after they won it all. While fans won't be able to celebrate with the Dodgers due to the effects of the pandemic, Google's virtual fireworks display is certainly a nice touch.
