31-year old Trayce Thompson has become an MLB journeyman. After breaking into the league with the Chicago White Sox in 2015, Thompson spent 2016 and 2017 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Dodgers fans were excited to see Golden State Warriors' star Klay Thompson's brother play for their team. However, Thompson never got things going in LA. After 2017, he spent time on multiple different teams. But the Dodgers took a chance once again on him in 2022.

And it has panned out so far.

It should be noted that Trayce Thompson has played just 13 games for the Dodgers as of this article's publication. Nonetheless, the outfielder is slashing a rather impressive .286/.342/.543 during that time. He also clubbed this clutch 3-run bomb against the Rockies on the Fourth of July.

And his Dodgers teammates seem to enjoy having him back on the team as well. Chris Taylor commented on Thompson's return to LA, per Dodgers beat writer Bill Plunkett.

“I’m thrilled for him. Obviously I played with Trayce in 2016. The guy is a 1st-class teammate. He works his ass off every day. He’s a true professional, everybody loves him.”

Thompson shared his thoughts on smashing the clutch home run for the Dodgers, per SportsNet LA.

“Just wearing this uniform again is special. Being with these guys is special. I'm just very appreciative of the moment and every opportunity I get.”

Klay Thompson is surely proud of his brother. Trayce is emerging as an important part of this Dodgers team. He will aim to continue helping LA play well as they gear up for another postseason run.
