After winning the World Series last year and adding pieces like Trevor Bauer in the offseason, it was expected to be smooth sailing once again for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2021. That has been far from the case though, so far.

The Dodgers have lost 15 of their last 20 contests, this after starting the season with a 13-2 record. Currently, LA finds themselves in third-place in the National League West, with a record of 18-17. Star pitcher Trevor Bauer's recent comments shed some light on the struggles facing the Dodgers.

Via Sarah Wexler of MLB.com, Bauer is pissed, to put it bluntly.

“I’m pissed, personally. I frickin’ hate losing. I want to win, that's why I came here, and we’re just not playing up to our capability right now.” – Trevor Bauer.

Bauer has been up to his normal self on the mound, starting eight games so far this season while posting a 2.50 ERA with a WHIP of 0.81. In 50.1 innings of work, Bauer has 67 strikeouts for the Dodgers. Yet, LA has found little momentum the last three weeks.

Manager Dave Roberts took a much different approach with his viewpoint after Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Angels.

“Honestly, I think things are turning, I really do. I think it's easy to look at the results — we put up one run today. But I just think the body of work today, the last few days and week, has been a lot better.” – Dave Roberts.

One thing we do know, the MLB season is a long one and usually in a 162 game season, things will filter out and leave the best of the best in the postseason hunt. The Dodgers have plenty of time to figure things out and flip the switch and with all the talent on their roster, it's hard to imagine that not being the case.
