Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has been in the news a lot lately after sexual assault allegations surfaced. On Thursday, it was announced that Bauer was still slated to make his start at his regular spot in the rotation, creating an uproar among many who are confused at the MLB's refusal to hand down any sort of punishment.

Then on Thursday evening, Bauer's agent Rachel Luba responded to the claims of her client.

Luba defends Bauer, to no surprise. The details of Bauer's alleged incidents were horrific and extremely descriptive, and if prosecuted he will be in some serious trouble, and not just with the MLB.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic was just one of many to voice his concern as the Dodgers still plan to send Bauer out to the mound on Sunday, even with all this going on.

“The league has the power to hit the pause button on Bauer’s season while continuing an investigation, and that is absolutely the step it must take.”

Rosenthal's column was powerful and he is absolutely spot on, and no matter what Luba and Bauer say, the league has to do something while they investigate the incident.

This is an absolutely awful situation, and despite Luba's comments and defense of her client, and Bauer's repeated denial of the allegations, the MLB needs to act now.
