The Los Angeles Rams placed cornerback Aqib Talib on the injured reserve list due to a rib injury last month, and then, just ahead of the Oct. 29 trade deadline, the Rams traded him to the Miami Dolphins.

Talib has not yet reported to the Dolphins and is currently rehabbing on his own, but he is eligible to return in Week 15 should he decide to play for Miami at all this season.

The veteran stopped by the Fox pregame show this past weekend and said that he is actually healthy enough to play right now, but obviously is not able to:

“I’m healthy enough to play right now,” Talib said, via Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire. “I talked to Coach Flo [Brian Flores] and right now, I’m just focused on getting healthy. When I’m able to come off the injured reserve list, it’ll be a decision to make for the team, for myself. But ultimately, I don’t make any decisions, as you can see. I just show up and make sure I’m healthy enough to play football.”

Talib added that he “kind of disagreed with” Los Angeles' decision to place him on injured reserve and that he “wasn't the happiest camper” when the Rams ultimately made that choice.

In five games this season, Talib has logged 14 tackles.

The 33-year-old initially joined the Rams via trade with the Denver Broncos in March 2018 and also spent much of last season on the injured reserve list, appearing in just eight contests and totaling 23 tackles and an interception.

Talib made five straight Pro Bowls between 2013 and 2017.
