NFL Free Agency is rapidly approaching and teams are making final decisions on who to keep, and the Miami Dolphins are rumored to be moving on without Cameron Wake on their roster.

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins haven't shown much interest in bringing Wake back in 2019.

Wake has played all 10 of his NFL seasons for the team and is second in team history in sacks with 98. The only player ahead of him in Dolphins history is a guy by the name of Jason Taylor.

The veteran defensive end turned 37 in January but figures to have a variety of teams interested in him when free agency begins. Even in 2018, Wake was still a viable threat off the edge. He finished the season with six sacks and a forced fumble.

With the Dolphins hiring Brian Flores, it seems like they're headed in a more youthful direction. Regardless, Wake can still make an impact on any NFL roster still.

The Dolphins also released Andre Branch and Ted Larsen as well today. The Dolphins are gearing up for an active free agency possibly by freeing up nearly $10 million with those two moves.

They are also expected to move on from Ryan Tannehill this offseason. With all of these moves, the Dolphins will have plenty of holes to fill in the draft and free agency.

At the expense of Dolphins fans, it seems like a fan favorite in Wake has played his down for the franchise. Who knows where he winds up but there's no doubt he'll be a nice addition to any organization.
