The Miami Dolphins may be “iffy” about wide receiver Danny Amendola's future with the team. However, it seems the same cannot be said about wide receiver Devante Parker.

Parker's future in Miami has been uncertain for quite some time now. According to Adam H. Beasley of The Miami Herald, he already has one foot out the door this offseason.

DeVante Parker?

All but gone.

Danny Amendola?

Iffy to stay.

The report should hardly come as any surprise. There have been rumors about the Dolphins looking to trade him in the past. His disappointing 2018 NFL season seems to have been the final straw.

Miami selected Parker with the 14th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, he has fallen vastly short of the expectations that come with being a first-round pick. He has shown plenty of flashes of promise at times with his prototypical combination of size and speed, however, he has never been able to find his footing due to injuries.

Parker's best season came in 2016 when he registered 56 receptions, 744 yards, and four touchdowns while starting in only eight games. Despite his vast potential, he was never able to follow up on his tremendous sophomore season.

Although Parker has struggled to live up to the hype, there is still plenty of time for a potential resurgence. The 26-year-old's struggles can somewhat be attributed to the lackluster play under center in Miami for the last several years as well. Perhaps a change-of-scenery to a more stable offense will be beneficial for Parker moving forward.
