Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker isn't expected to be on the field against the New England Patriots in Week 15. This comes after recent reports have indicated that he was set to suit up on Sunday's matchup despite his nagging hamstring injury, per NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport.

Parker sustained the injury back in their most recent encounter against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14. He was abruptly pulled out off the field and failed to finish the game. The Dolphins went on to lose the tilt on a 33-27 decision.

His extended absence in Week 15 could have been due to the severity of his hamstring injury which might further aggravate if he continues to see action for their upcoming game against the Patriots.

On the other hand, tight end Mike Gesicki broke out with a huge performance against the Chiefs where he accounted for 65 yards on five receptions and two scoring touchdowns for the Dolphins. He was previously listed as questionable earlier in the day due to a shoulder injury but is now ruled out against their division rivals.

Another wide receiver in Jakeem Grant is dealing with a similar hamstring injury which was also sustained in the game against the Chiefs. The former Texas Tech standout amassed 32 yards on three receptions in limited action on the field before he was forced out of the game.

With a depleted receiving corps, all three players' absences could ultimately hurt Miami's opportunities on the offensive end. Rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will have to get creative and maximize the weapons available at his disposal in a bid to score a win against the Patriots.
