In what will veteran running back Frank Gore's 14th season in the NFL, the 34-year-old will finally get to suit up for his hometown Miami Dolphins.

With rising star running back Kenyan Drake slated to be a huge focal point of the offense, Gore opened up to Dolphins beat writer Alain Poupart about what type of relationship he wants to develop with Drake.

“I can show him a lot of things, on and off the field, the way to be a pro,” Gore said of Drake. “Just show him the way I work and why I've lasted so long to play this game at a high level. When I watched him, he's a very quick and fast guy. I think that one-two punch will be very nice for this team.”

To put it lightly, Gore is thrilled to be back to the city he grew up in and starred at the University of Miami during the early 2000's.

“I feel great,” Gore said. “I'm happy. I'll get to be back in front of my fans. You can just go back to Pop Warner, playing at (the) Boys Club. A lot of great fans here. I was born and raised here. A lot of people look to me. My kids get to see me almost every home game now. I'm blessed. I'm happy.”

After he spent his last three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, Gore will look to help the Dolphins get back to the playoffs for the second time in three years.
